The University of Chicago: Graduate Studies

Masterclass with Professor Chris Blattman

Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 9:00 AM until 10:00 AMCentral Daylight Time

Please join us for a Masterclass with Professor Chris Blattman. A faculty member in The Pearson Institute for the Study and Resolution of Global ConflictsBlattman focuses on why some people and societies are poor, unequal and violent, and how to tackle these issues.

His book, Why We Fight, was released by Viking Press in April 2022. Most people think war is easy and peace is hard. Blattman synthesizes decades of social science and policymakers' practical experiences to argue the opposite: War is hard and finding peace is easier than you think.

This event is part of the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy's ongoing Masterclass series, featuring our world-renowned faculty and instructors to provide insight into their expertise and the classroom experience at Harris. Join us for engaging, real-time class sessions with other prospective students to experience the Harris classroom.
