Venue SIX10

Moderated by Eric Ham, MPP'04, host of the Mid-Day Briefing on Sirius XM POTUS, this timely panel discussion will explore the role of young people -- both as voters and as candidates – in the 2018 midterm elections.  What animated them or failed to spur them to action?  And what are the implications for the future of the nation in terms of policy and politics?

Following the election, join us for Harris' latest event in our popular “Young Policy Leaders” series where we will examine the fresh polling data from AP/NORC, combined with expert analysis from leading practitioners and Harris faculty, to investigate the role that young people – including millennials – played in the 2018 US midterms and what it means for our democracy.

Panelists:

  • William Howell - Sydney Stein Professor in American Politics, Harris Public Policy
  • Steven Olikara - Founder and President, Millennial Action Project
  • Jennifer Benz - Principal Research Scientist and Deputy Director, AP/NORC
  • Carrie Davis - Democracy Program Director, The Joyce Foundation
